{"id":154,"date":"2013-03-02T14:36:20","date_gmt":"2013-03-02T14:36:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=154"},"modified":"2023-05-04T14:57:03","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T14:57:03","slug":"curried-chicken","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=154","title":{"rendered":"Curried Chicken"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>In Advance:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><\/em><\/strong>6 servings<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup butter In the bowl of a food processor place the following and process until finely chopped:<\/li>\n<li>1 medium onion peeled and quartered<\/li>\n<li>1 clove garlic, peeled<\/li>\n<li>1 stalk celery in chunks<\/li>\n<li>1 tart apple, peeled and quartered<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 lb ham<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 bay leaf<\/li>\n<li>sprig parsley<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp dry mustard<\/li>\n<li>2 TB flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp mace<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp or more curry powder (Sun brand Madras powder in silver tin)<\/li>\n<li>2 1\/2 cups chicken broth<\/li>\n<li>3 cups raw, cubed chicken<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Recipe:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Melt butter in large kettle. Add processed mixture with bay leaf, parsley and mustard and cook for eight minutes over medium heat,stirring.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in flour, mace, and curry powder and cook four minutes more.<\/li>\n<li>Add broth and simmer, covered, one hour.
