{"id":226,"date":"2013-03-02T16:47:53","date_gmt":"2013-03-02T16:47:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=226"},"modified":"2023-05-04T15:01:37","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T15:01:37","slug":"classic-coke-cake","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=226","title":{"rendered":"Classic Coke Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>In Advance:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350\u00ba<\/p>\n<p>Butter and flour a 9x13x2 pan<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cups flour<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 cups sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 lb. butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup cocoa<\/li>\n<li>1 cup classic Coke<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup buttermilk<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs, beaten<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp baking soda<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 cups miniature marshmallows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Recipe:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine flour and sugar<\/li>\n<li>Combine melted butter, cocoa,\u00a0 and coke. Add to flour mixture, stirring well.<\/li>\n<li>Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, and vanilla. Pour into prepared pan.<\/li>\n<li>Bake 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven and frost while still warm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Broiled peanut butter frosting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 TB softened butter<\/li>\n<li>1 cup dark brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 cup chunky peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup milk<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 cup chopped, salted peanuts ( processor)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Recipe:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cream butter, sugar, and peanut butter. Beat in milk, then nuts. Spread over warm cake. Place frosted cake under broiler about 4 inches from the heat source. Broil ONLY A FEW SECONDS until topping starts to bubble.<\/li>\n<li>Turn cake around to brown evenly.
