{"id":286,"date":"2013-03-02T20:40:14","date_gmt":"2013-03-02T20:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=286"},"modified":"2023-05-04T15:04:16","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T15:04:16","slug":"baked-vidalia-onions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=286","title":{"rendered":"Baked Vidalia Onions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>In Advance:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 400\u00ba<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 vidalia onions of similar size<\/li>\n<li>2 TB balsamic vinegar<\/li>\n<li>2 TB water<\/li>\n<li>1 TB butter<\/li>\n<li>S &amp; P<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Recipe:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Peel onions, cut off tops and bottoms thinly and evenly<\/li>\n<li>Place onions in buttered baking dish.<\/li>\n<li>Coat cut tops of onions with balsamic vinegar, dot with butter and S&amp;P<\/li>\n<li>Pour water into baking dish under onions<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 45 minutes. If water evaporates, add more during cooking<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/em> I&#8217;ve done these, covered with saran wrap, in the microwave when I&#8217;m in a hurry or the kitchen is too hot to use the oven.
