{"id":62,"date":"2012-11-02T19:32:11","date_gmt":"2012-11-02T19:32:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=62"},"modified":"2023-05-04T14:31:13","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T14:31:13","slug":"cheese-soup","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=62","title":{"rendered":"Cheese soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 lg onion chopped<\/li>\n<li>3 TB butter<\/li>\n<li>about 2 cups water or broth<\/li>\n<li>2 lg sprigs fresh dill<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp dry mustard<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>S &amp; P<\/li>\n<li>4 cups milk (2 % is OK)<\/li>\n<li>2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup parmesean cheese<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup vermouth or white wine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0Recipe:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Saute potatoes and onions in butter 5 minutes until onions are translucent<\/li>\n<li>Add\u00a0 water or broth to cover. Simmer until potatoes are done, about 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Snip dill into soup and cool. Add mustard and cream and puree. Taste for S&amp;P.<\/li>\n<li>Return to pot, add milk, and return to the simmer.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in cheeses and vermouth.
