{"id":64,"date":"2012-11-02T19:34:45","date_gmt":"2012-11-02T19:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=64"},"modified":"2023-05-04T14:31:16","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T14:31:16","slug":"clam-chowder","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=64","title":{"rendered":"Clam Chowder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The best clam chowder to come from RI!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 1\/2 inch cube of salt pork.<\/li>\n<li>1 onion, large dice<\/li>\n<li>4 cups potatoes, peeled and cut into 3\/4 inch cubes<\/li>\n<li>2 cups boiling water<\/li>\n<li>4 cups scalded milk<\/li>\n<li>1 pint shucked clams with their juice<\/li>\n<li>S &amp; P<\/li>\n<li>2 TB butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0Recipe:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cook salt pork slowly until it melts<\/li>\n<li>Saute onion in the fat until soft<\/li>\n<li>Add potatoes and water. Cook 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add juice from clams and cook until potatoes are tender, about 20 min.<\/li>\n<li>Add hot milk, clams, S&amp;P to taste.
