{"id":66,"date":"2012-11-02T19:44:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-02T19:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=66"},"modified":"2023-05-04T14:31:19","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T14:31:19","slug":"cream-of-broccoli-soup","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tildenave.com\/?page_id=66","title":{"rendered":"Cream of Broccoli Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients<\/em><\/strong><em>:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 medium onion, chopped<\/li>\n<li>3 TB butter<\/li>\n<li>1 10 oz. package broccoli, cooked and drained<\/li>\n<li>4 TB chopped parsley<\/li>\n<li>4 TB flour<\/li>\n<li>2 cups chicken broth<\/li>\n<li>2 cups half and half at room temperature<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>2 TB lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>1\/8 tsp freshly grated nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>lemon pepper, garlic salt and cayenne to taste<\/li>\n<li>parsley, chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0Recipe:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In heavy pot saute onion in butter until limp<\/li>\n<li>Add broccoli and parsley and simmer for 3 minutes. Stir to prevent scorching.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle the mixture with the flour and stir until the flour is absorbed, 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer mixture to blender. Add enough chicken broth to fill blender to 3\/4 capacity and blend until liquified.<\/li>\n<li>Return the blended mixture to the pan and add remaining liquids and seasonings. Simmer for 5 minutes.
